Montrose Soccer Club is thrilled to announce the hiring of Cassie Snyder as our new Director of Coaching. Cassie brings an extensive background in soccer coaching, leadership, and player development, making her an excellent addition to our club as we continue to grow and enhance our programs.
Cassie’s Background
Cassie has spent the past 16 years coaching at various levels, ranging from youth club teams to high school varsity programs. She has been a vital part of the Montrose soccer community, coaching both the Montrose High School Boys Varsity team and the Montrose Avalanche
U19 Boys team. Her coaching experience includes leading teams in the Colorado Advanced League, mentoring assistant coaches, developing club-wide curriculums, and enhancing college recruitment opportunities for players.
Cassie’s impressive playing career includes competing at Fort Lewis College, where she was part of an RMAC Championship-winning team and playing at an elite level for Colorado Rush. She holds multiple coaching certifications, including U.S. Soccer 11v11, 9v9, and 7v7
Licenses and a United Soccer Coaches Pre-National Diploma.

Her Role as Director of Coaching
Cassie’s primary objectives in this role will be:
✅ Coaching Development – Implementing a unified coaching philosophy, hosting educational clinics, and supporting coaches with training resources.
✅ Player Development – Creating structured training programs, improving player placement processes, and utilizing video analysis for performance feedback.
✅ Club Communication & Public Relations – Strengthening connections between coaches, players, parents, and the board to ensure a collaborative and transparent club culture.
With a strategic plan already in place, Cassie will play a key role in making Montrose the best place in Colorado to play soccer. Her leadership and experience will help shape the future of the club, ensuring that all players have the opportunity to learn, compete, and succeed at the highest level possible.
